Energy Management

Energy Management

Energy Transition, Net Zero, Decarbonisation. However it is termed, it represents a vital shift across the global oil and gas industry. But when it comes to tangibly addressing the Energy Transition, what does that look like?

For Dolphin Drilling, our ISO: 50001 Energy Management Systems certification sums up our approach to a sustainable industry. The first drilling contractor to achieve this certification, it reflects the programme of continuous improvement which is designed to maximise performance whilst minimising our carbon footprint.

We’ve made sustainability a part of our culture, incorporating it into our daily operations and business activities, which are aligned with several UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Our Climate Roadmap

Outlining Dolphin Drilling’s contribution to a sustainable future, which reduces our CO₂ footprint, our Climate Roadmap focuses on:

  • Taking each and every one of the Dolphin team on this journey
  • Continuously improving energy-related efficiency through digital planning and customised operations
  • The use of hybrid power and smart energy management
  • Improved logistics – planning to vehicle and vessel activity, plus reduced workforce travel
  • Less wastage – rightsizing all usage
  • Smart partnerships – by selecting partners and suppliers with sustainable solutions who share our vision

“We might be the first drilling company to achieve ISO50001:18, but we hope we won’t be the last.”
